I want to put it out there, how long did it take your clowns to make their home in your anemone?

In my old tank, had about 8 RBTA's and a pair of Ocellaris. In the 3ish years the tank was running, my ocellaris never hosted in an anemone.

Or they could be like Niagarafirecorals , his clowns will not host the bubble tip anemone that was in his tank they would prefer the coral instead hahaha

We had one that took to it immediately. When we added a second clown they wouldn't go near it. The first clown literally pulled him by his tail into it. Was good after that.

Our newest clown went in the second we dropped him in the tank. Our issue is that he doesn't come out, ever.....

Just grabs whatever food is floating by

I have a 100g cube plugged inline with my reef system containing anemones (mostly bubble tips of different colours) but also a long tentacle anemone. Started with a clutch of about 14 clowns and have 6 left, pretty stable population now. Also have a yellow tang, Tomini tang and 2 engineer gobies in it for algae control, colour and movement. The clowns have each hosted the own anemone, the largest pair in the long tentacle. It’s really cool to see them playing in it like a snuggly blanket. I took some pictures and videos but of course given my camera skills they don’t do it justice.

My little clowns went straight to the anemone within an hour of me adding them to the tank. I don’t know if it helped, but the anemone was the only ‘flowy’ creature in there at the time aside from some gsp.
