Well with all newer tanks, you are destined to have some algae or maybe not, but I am. One thing I have noticed, I am getting hair algae on my ceramic blocks and balls. Insert comment here hahah.

Yes, they are in the refugium and pump return area and are getting light from the refugium. I heard a statement from a fellow reefer that has sticked with me; treat your sump like your display. I always though that was a good statement. That being the case, I'm considering building an algae scrubber and possible light dividers. Any suggestions, please fire away.

It looks good,
Worry about PO4 not so much Nitrates ,but not bring down to "0"
Nitrate 3-5 are good
And po4 0.02 , or 0.03 is what you find in the ocean

It looks like that was the trick, as almost all the cyano is gone and stuff is looking amazing! Now I want to add some chaeto.

Just start with an hand full
The more you put more nutrients they need to grow
