Cliff’s in wall reef

So I figured I would make a journal about my current setup here on the all new Reefescape.
I have been in the hobby for years but I always had a tank in the basement. I always wanted my tank to be part of the living quarters. A focal piece of the room. So when the wife and I decided to turn the garage into living quarters I convinced her to let me have the back 7feet of the garage as a fish room. Here are some pics of the demo work we did about 5 years ago. The garage is approximately 30 feet long by 20 feet wide. My wife is graciously giving me 7 feet of the end of the garage for fish room. But in order to get the fish room it has been a very long process lol. When I finally cleaned the garage out we discovered that the floor was unusable. It had a couple of cracks and there was a good one inch height difference in parts of the garage. So we had to rip out the concrete floor and poor new pad. This was good because we were able to put in in floor hydronic heating.

The heated floor needed to go in and all the framing; insulating and electrical needed to be done. At the time I thought I was smart by running two 15 amp dedicated fish room lines from the panel. 5 years later and a full fish room I realize I could have used 3 lol.
I also plumbed in a 3” drain in the floor under the tank in case of emergencies. I hope I never need it.

At this time I was reusing a 125 gallon tank I had left over. It was a great tank and I had made a full foam rock wall for it so I wanted to use it again. So framing was put up. Stand was built and in a couple months it looked like I had a room taking shape.

Nice job Cliff, I have recently seen your tank and these pictures do not do it justice. An amazing looking tank full of healthy corals and tonnes of fish.

very very nice Cliff. What please is the coral in the second picture of the second post, looks like a red dragon but has yellower tips.

It looks like it. My red dragon has yellow-Ish polyps tip when are extended
