I'm dosing all in reef and I have been noticing that the return hose is clogging, does anyone have a solution to stop it from clogging? Should I run the hard hose right into the water?

I leave mine suspended above the water line to prevent syphoning. I found if I leave the lines in a visible place I am reminded to clean the crud of of them every once in a while. I use a holder like this so it’s easy to clean

Same here are suspended and once a month i scrape the build up
