I am very very new to the hobby. Open to any and all suggestions/advice!
Currently seeding dry rock with two chunks of live rock, a few snails, hermits and hitchhikers!

Looking good, do you have a skimmer? I am guessing no sump and its an AIO

No skimmer yet. And yes it is an AIO so no sump.

What kind of media are you running in the back? any matrix or marine pure?

Fair enough. As a suggestion, perhaps look into either matrix or marine pure. they provide a ton of surface area for nitrifying bacteria to populate.

That's a great idea. I was actually thinking that my scape didn't leave a ton of surface area. Will look into that right away!
