I have been using a blue barrel for years now to mix my salt, well after numerous years I have accumulated a thick crusty layer of crud from precipitation on the sides of the barrel. Also as the barrel is open at the top all my tools and items in the garage rust frequently.
So I decided to upgrade, checking out our sponsors I see that Ontario Agra has a wide selection of food grade water containers 25 gallon up to a 1000 gallon.
the nice thing about these are they are sealed with a 8 -12" cap and the bottom is already taped and threaded for your tap.
I visited the yard Kyle kindly walked me around and asked which style and capacity I needed, ended up selecting a 50 gallon container with a Banjo tap valve, pricey but well worth it.
I drilled and plumbed two float valves at 30 gallons and 50 gallons.
